The piece shown is from “The Alaskan” newspaper of Sitka, dated March 20, 1886. It’s an interesting commentary on a problem with Thomas Edison perfecting his new photograph.

I read this and I question its meaning as to whether or not it is a bit of humor or if it was the lack of respect for the female that Mr. Edison chose to marry.
History shows a lot of this in my years of early American Historical Readings. Especially before the “ioneer Days” to the west.
