The following brief item appeared in “The Daily Picayune” of March 4, 1845. I’m not sure what the last sentence is meant to imply but it adds a comical note for the modern reader:

Interesting site. I own a full 8 page copy of the “Indiana Progress” Newspaper Number 41. Dated October 11, 1899. I have owned it for about 40 years but will now consider selling it.
I am considering listing it on Ebay but will consider offers prior to listing.
