Seven Employees
Timothy Hughes started the business as a hobby over 30 years ago, operating it part-time in the evenings and weekends for several years. As the business continued to grow, it became a full-time enterprise in 1989, with full-time and part-time employees eventually being hired for our current compliment of seven engaged in the sale of early and rare newspapers from the 1500's to the present day.
Computerized Inventory
Our modern office and warehouse are located in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania, and feature state-of-the art equipment for the efficient management of an inventory of over two million newspapers and 18th century magazines, as well as the production of the archival-quality protective folders which we create in custom sizes for proper newspaper storage.
Growing with the Hobby
Thirteen computers are in use to maximize the efficiency of catalog preparation, website work, inventory control, and bookkeeping, allowing us to be quick to respond to the special requests and many inquiries received on a daily basis. Warehouse and office space have increased to nearly 10,000 sq. ft. as our inventory and staff have continued to grow with increased hard-copy listings, eBay offerings, and website sales commanding more attention.
