Whereas collectible newspapers are often purchased due to their historic headlines or perhaps their rarity, the undisclosed content – whether articles or ads – often provides intrigue and a historical perspective that go far beyond the original reason for seeking the issue.
With this in mind, let’s have some fun!
This post will serve as a home for collectors to brag about the non-headliner discoveries they’ve found within newspapers dated from 1900-1949. Share your finds. All we ask is for everyone to refrain from using this post as a means for offering collectible newspapers for sale. It’s intended to purely be a “no-agenda” platform for sharing one of the simple joys of collecting.

I collect newspapers because I am fascinated by the growth and development of
daily newspapers. Defunct daily newspapers of the 20th century are of particular
interest.
Dealers and listings on the web concentrate on newspapers with famous headlines.
Although with my collecting interest, I don’t particularly care about the headline, however
I own hundreds of headline newspapers because that is frequently the only way I
can buy a particular title.
A prediction: with the decline of newspapers (but not the death!), people are likely to
become nostalgic about newspapers and the hobby will grow.

I found in the walls of my house when we remodeled, a bunch of firm paper press that was used to make newspapers. There are entire sheets of what appear to be the base for making the newspaper. I have no idea what this is called and I am merely looking to find out what these were called. Does anyone have an idea. I intend to see if the local museum might like them since I am not a collector of old newspapers. any ideas of what this is called. I can post a photo if that is possible.

We only collect and offer the actual newspapers. Sorry, but we do not have workable/helpful knowledge of their value or collectability.
